Words with initial capital letters have meanings defined below. Definitions apply whether used in singular or plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

• Affiliatemeans an entity that controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with a party, where "control" means ownership of 50% or more of voting securities or authority to direct management.
• AI Output means text, scores, suggestions, highlights, or other material generated or returned by the Service in response to User Content.
• Company("We", "Us", or "Our") means CheckAIContent, operated from Gujarat, India.
• Country refers to: Gujarat, India.
• Device means any device that can access the Service (computer, phone, tablet, etc.).
• Service means the CheckAIContent website, web applications, APIs, and related online tools, including the AI Content Detector, AI Paragraph Rewriter, AI Tone Changer, Grammar Checker, and any related pages or features we publish.
• Terms means these Terms and Conditions, including documents incorporated by reference (including our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Disclaimer).
• Third-Party Social Media Service means third-party content or services linked from or embedded in the Service (for example social profile links).
• User Content means text, files, or other material you submit, paste, or upload to the Service for analysis or processing.

• You means the individual or legal entity accessing or using the Service.

About the Service

CheckAIContent provides free and paid-style online writing tools that use automated analysis and third-party artificial intelligence ("AI") systems. The Service is intended to assist with editing, tone adjustment, grammar checking, and estimating whether text may resemble patterns common in AI-generated writing. The Service is an aid for human review — not a substitute for professional judgment, legal advice, academic integrity policies, or employment decisions.

Current tools may include, without limitation:

• AI Content Detector — estimates AI-related probability scores and may highlight sentences for review;
• AI Paragraph Rewriter — rewrites pasted text according to a selected goal;
• AI Tone Changer — adjusts register and voice while aiming to preserve meaning;
• Grammar Checker — flags spelling, grammar, and style issues for supported English locales.

We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. Tool availability, character limits, and supported languages are described on the relevant tool pages and may change without notice.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself or the organization you represent.

If you use the Service on behalf of a school, employer, or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to do so and that your use complies with that organization's policies.

Acknowledgment

These Terms govern your use of the Service and form the entire agreement between You and the Company regarding the Service, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. They apply to all visitors and users.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree with any part, you must not use the Service.

User Content

Your responsibility

You retain ownership of User Content you submit. You are solely responsible for User Content and for ensuring you have all rights needed to submit it (including consent, copyright, confidentiality, and data-protection obligations).

Do not submit content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, infringing, contains others' personal data without permission, or violates any applicable law or contract.

License you grant to us

To operate the Service, you grant the Company a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, transmit, store (only as necessary and as described in our Privacy Policy), and display User Content solely to provide and improve the Service, enforce these Terms, and comply with law.

AI Output

Subject to your rights in User Content, you may use AI Output for your lawful purposes. We do not guarantee that AI Output is accurate, original, non-infringing, or fit for any particular purpose. You must review AI Output before relying on or publishing it.

AI Tools and Limitations

AI Content Detector

Detection scores are probabilistic estimates, not proof of authorship. Results may be wrong — especially for short text, heavily edited AI drafts, formal non-native writing, or content from newer AI models. You agree not to use detection results as the sole basis for academic discipline, employment termination, legal action, or other high-stakes decisions without additional human review and applicable procedural safeguards.

Rewriter, tone changer, and grammar tools

These tools may change wording, tone, or grammar suggestions. They can introduce errors, alter meaning subtly, or conflict with your style guide. You are responsible for verifying compliance-sensitive, medical, legal, financial, and academic language before publication or submission.

No professional advice

The Service does not provide legal, medical, financial, psychological, or other professional advice. Nothing on the Service creates a client–professional relationship.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in violation of any law or third-party rights;
• Submit malware, automated scraping at abusive rates, or attempts to bypass rate limits, security, or access controls;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or underlying models except where permitted by law;
• Present AI Output or detection results as guaranteed facts or as human expert opinion without appropriate disclosure;
• Use the Service to harass, discriminate, generate spam, or impersonate others without authorization;
• Resell or commercially exploit the Service without our prior written consent.

We may investigate violations and cooperate with law enforcement where required.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, branding, software, documentation, and original content (excluding User Content), is owned by the Company or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service except as expressly allowed by these Terms or with our written permission.

"CheckAIContent" and related logos are our trademarks. Third-party names (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) are used for descriptive purposes only and belong to their respective owners.

Free Access and Usage Limits

Many features are offered without account registration. We may impose fair usage limits (such as per-request character caps, daily request limits per network, or temporary throttling) to protect service stability. Limits may change at any time.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Maintenance, third-party outages, or abuse prevention may limit availability.

Links and Third-Party Services

Other websites

The Service may link to third-party websites or services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk.

Third-Party Social Media Service

The Service may link to our profiles or content on third-party platforms. Those platforms are not owned or controlled by the Company. We are not responsible for their terms, privacy practices, or content.

AI and infrastructure providers

Processing may rely on third-party AI, hosting, analytics, or security providers. Their terms and privacy policies may apply to how they handle data we send them, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you breached these Terms, pose a security risk, or if required by law.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company's total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) one hundred United States dollars (USD $100) if you paid nothing.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company and its suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, business interruption, or reputational harm, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

"AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" Disclaimer

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that AI Output or detection scores will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your purposes.

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties; where prohibited, exclusions apply only to the extent allowed.

Governing Law and Disputes

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, with the courts of Gujarat, India having exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence where applicable.

Informal resolution

Before filing a formal dispute, you agree to contact us at support@checkaicontent.com and attempt to resolve the matter informally within thirty (30) days.

European Union users

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you benefit from mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

United States legal compliance

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and that you are not on any U.S. government restricted party list.

Severability and waiver

If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.

Translation

If these Terms are translated, the English version controls in case of conflict.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. If changes are material, we will use reasonable efforts to provide notice (for example, updating the "Last updated" date or a notice on the Website) at least thirty (30) days before they take effect where practicable.

Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
